I've been on and off keto for over a year and as a result, I haven't had any weight loss worth celebrating about. I'm at what keto experts call a "weight loss plateau". I wish I have the luxury of time to spend at the grocery store and wet market so I could find more keto-friendly food, cook more low-carb, high-fat meals and finally switch to the healthy-eating lifestyle that I want.
I'm seriously considering going into a fat fast to see if that would kick start my body into losing weight again but after reading and looking more into the fat fasting technique, I think I'll pass.
I'll just look for keto-friendly recipes online to help me with my meal planning and do some more boxing instead. I've just started training and I am loving it so far.
I can't believe I have been gone for over a year. Sometimes I wonder why I even bother blogging when I cannot even keep up with "more" important things, like being a mom–oh and homeschool! We started homeschool in January and I do believe that we have made a LOT of progress. My son who, for over four years, has not shown that much interest in starting a conversation with us or in singing or in read-aloud books, now sings and chatters and recites the alphabet non-stop. It may not mean anything to some people but to his father and I, it means more than just a pat on the back.
Now back to the question. Am I back to blogging? I'm leaning more towards doing something I still consider impossible–finding time to write with a passion. What about? Anything. Homeschool. Beauty. Makeup. Health. The usual stuff. Whatever catches my attention. I'm tempted to write about the Philippines' current political situation but ho-ho-ho what do I really know about that? I'll leave that to the wannabees and the experts. Last one before I stop with my hirit on our country's political scene. There is this one not-so-well-known and long-forgotten celebrity from a defunct sitcom from the 90s called 'Palibhasa Lalaki' that I'd like to question for her anti-Duterte posts but seeing how effective she is in attracting all kind of negative personalities and haters and "decent" people on her Facebook wall, I'd rather not. I think if I even mention her name here it would only jinx my blogging. Just too bad, I do remember her from when I used to watched the sitcom in my adolescent years and she was umm..okay. Hers wasn't a major role but she did quite alright as a comedian.
This unfinished painting is my husband's version of Starry Night by Vincent Van Gogh. I love it and I hope to see it adding some color to our living room soon.
See the original here. You'll also find the painting here.
Back from another long "holiday", sorry! Anybody missed me? I'm not sure anybody's been reading this anyway so it doesn't really matter. This is not like "the" blogs out there that people get excited about. Well, not yet but I want to see my blog going in that direction. I mean, who wouldn't? To grow and evolve and be like one of the blogs that people literally hunt down to read. A blog with a strong following. IT IS every blogger's dream, one of my ultimate goals, from my list of over a hundred. So. It might take a while and not without any boo-boos along the way...but I will get there. Eventually. One step at a time.
So, major flashback: Did I ever mention that I used to keep a journal where I do all my writing? I remember six notebooks, all filled, some going into detail, far too much detail and some, just out-of-the-blue ideas that I want to put into paper. All gone. I burned them right after I broke up with some jerk in college and he wasn't even mentioned there, not once. Those were stuff I wrote way before college. I don't know what got into me. Burning them when I could have kept them. Those were treasured memories from when I was young and full of childish hopes and dreams. I guess I burned them as a way to let go. Everything that is past (but definitely, not forgotten). Such a waste. That, ladies and gents, was when notebooks slash journal slash planners were sacred. The Internet was not even invented yet or it may have been but only very few people knew then that it exists. No one's got email and everybody and their granny have mobile phones with external antennas attached to them.
Now everything's gone digital. Blogging is the new norm and is real close to replacing journals. I know there still are a few pen-and-paper types, those who prefer to keep their private thoughts private. I came from that group of people only I made the switch. I knew then that going online is not going to be easy. There will be some laugh-out-loud moments I would not dare write about. There will be secrets I will have to keep secrets. There will be heartaches I have to keep to myself and not tell anybody about. Which leads to one question: What then can I write about as a fledgling blogger? There are so many topics to choose from. Makeup? I love makeup but I don't see myself writing about makeup everyday. Motherhood? I love it and I've gone through a lot being a WAHM but there are so many things about being one that I prefer to keep private. Gardening? I love gardening as well but I'm no expert. Cooking maybe? We have a big enough kitchen and it would be awesome to blog about what I cook for breakfast, lunch and dinner but then again, there are probably gazillion of cooking blogs out there. Is there anything new I can offer to readers in that department. What should I be writing about then that people will enjoy reading? More brainstorming later.
You know what they say, blogging is not blogging until you have people reading your blog and I intend for my blog to be out there. I actually have been trying my luck as a blogger for years so I'm way past newbie-ness. I have tried different ways to increase site traffic. I know more about what works and what doesn't now compared to when I first started. There is a learning curve there and I did learn quite a few tricks. One is to take blogging a bit more seriously if I want my blog to move forward. Taking it seriously means writing more consistently. Give them something of value to read. Take a look at my old blog. It used to be called odesk Success Stories. I did okay writing about my experiences as a work-from-home mom. I had readers sending me emails and requesting to get connected on Facebook. There were quite a few who wants me to feature them (I do interviews and feature their success story) but one day, oDesk decided they want to change their name and so they are now called Upwork. That either means I have to close my blog "oDesk Success Stories" and get a new name OR continue the blog, explain the change in name and move it to Wordpress. Either way, I will have to start over. Fat chance of me doing that.
The only other direction I see myself going is blogging full time here. The name is interesting enough. I can write about a variety of stuff, it being called 365 Slimming Days. I see it covering quite a good variety of topics: makeup, health, motherhood, working from home, cooking, even weight loss. This just used to be my "other" blog, now I see it becoming into my ONLY blog. So there. That's one brainstorming session less for me to do later.
My goal is for this blog to grow and gain some readers. For that to happen, I need to do three things. These are notes to self.
One: Write everyday.
Two: Write only when I feel like writing (and make sure to take breaks in between).
Three: Find MY voice. Write about what I like writing about and really mean it. Be a responsible blogger and think twice before hitting publish.
I work from home but couldn't really work full time. Being a mom to an overly active 3-year old makes that real close to impossible. BUT. I am trying. I just need to reboot, pause, think, relax and restore my energy before I move on to the next task. This poor momma really is tired. There are dark circles around my eyes. My skin and hair are lifeless and I look like I should be auditioning for Walking Dead but oh well, it is awesome being a mom and that alone is enough to brighten up my day.
Just take a look at this picture I took of me and my little one. I don't really look all that tired, do I? I look like I am having fun, don't I? Heh.
I love makeup blogs and I love watching makeup tutorials on YouTube. I found out just recently that some of these bloggers and vloggers host giveaways that are open internationally. I've won once or twice (that was a long time ago) but never makeup! I would love to win makeup products and write about it in my own blog. I might even start doing makeup reviews and host my own giveaway. Wouldn't that be great? I am liking the idea very much. So anyway, I created this post to tell you about Dream Makeup's Sigma Beauty Essential Brush Kit Giveaway. The giveaway is ending real soon (November 3, 2014) so I say go check out the blog and join the giveaway. You'll love the brush set that she is giving away.

The problem: Because I am on the LCHF diet, coming up with recipes that are low-carb, delicious and budget-friendly is not something I can do in a snap.
The first few weeks of the diet was the hardest. I wanted to reduce my carb intake and increase my consumption of fat but I kept running out of food ideas. I struggled and was not eating enough. Because eggs are the easiest to cook, I found myself eating fried eggs more often than I would have liked.
If I were to rate myself for creativity in the kitchen, that would have been a total flop. I told myself that has to stop! I cannot go on eating fried eggs morning, afternoon and night. Surely, I can find the time to cook and come up with meals good enough to sate my appetite without falling off my diet. That's when my hunt for low-carb recipes both online and offline began.
The solution: I now plan my menu weeks ahead. It has saved me both money and time. The only problem I have is that I cannot store some of the food without them expiring. They also are a bit expensive and not always available in the local shops. So to finally resolve the problem, I've started using local ingredients and cook from scratch. I just have to make do with what I have.
My new favorite ingredient this week is the AMPALAYA or what they call "Bitter Gourd" or "Bitter Melon" in English.
I'm growing one in our backyard. Hopefully, I can keep the dogs away from the plant.
It's been six months since I started my LCHF diet. It wasn't without any bumps in the road. I remember craving for chocolate cake. I remember craving for sandwiches, pizza, french fries! I remember wanting to eat rice, it was driving me nuts! You know how I cope? You know how I got over all that? Dieting is not just for people with the will and discipline to go through the whole dieting shebang. Dieting, too, is for people who has the smarts for it. I did not just jump into the LCHF bandwagon without going through phases. I was one of the skeptics! I laughed trying to imagine meal times without a single grain of rice on my plate. I scoffed at the idea of not being able to eat anymore cake! What can I eat then to satisfy my cravings for sweets? Will I get through the day without bread? So I did my own research. I downloaded free Keto/LCHF ebooks on Amazon. I joined support groups. I made my own menu. The least I can do is to keep myself informed. I NEED to know what I was getting into. That is the best way I can convince myself to stick to the diet and persevere. And then here I am six months later...I can't get into a two-piece bikini yet but I am getting there. I've lost a few inches in my midsection, my face looks smaller, I feel lighter and most of all, I FEEL GOOD so YES, this is it, there is no turning back. I'm sold.
Here's ME when I was heavier and fuller around the waist and the hips:
BEFORE (February 2014)
And here's ME after 6 months of crispy chicken skin, "kansi", fried eggs, beef fat and lots and lots of mayo and butter!
AFTER (July 2014)

I hate whoever came up with the so-called 'cheat day'. That's what people who are on a diet call their moments of weakness, when they eat what they are not supposed to eat and then feel like such a pig right after? Yes, that's exactly how I am feeling today--I cheated SO if you don't mind me getting all dramatic then read on. You'll probably end up saying "it's no biggie" by the time you finished reading my post but just so you know, this to me is BIG and it does MATTER to me.
I've come to a point in my life where I'd look at myself in front of the mirror and ask myself why I allowed myself to gain this much weight. It's not like I'm obese--I'M NOT. I was skinny the whole 20 something of my life but now at 31, with over 40 lbs gained, what the F happened? I feel bloated almost all of the time, I don't feel good and I don't look all that good either. What happened?-------THIS is what happened! I got too busy living life and I just forgot to take good care of myself. It's time I make a change, turn my life around and get back to being healthy again.
Being healthy, if I were to define it is, getting back in shape, losing some weight and taking really good care of myself. That's where this blog comes in. I want to document everything and hopefully by the end of the year, I've at least reached half of my goal and able to post before and after pictures of myself. I'd like to invite you guys (all of you who have taken the time to read my blog, all of you with jiggly bellies like me) to join me in my quest. Would you be up for it? I hope so.
So that's it. This is not just a weight loss update. This is more of a testimony. After all the cheat days, I've finally reached the pinnacle. I cannot promise totally staying off carbs but I will be pushing it. It's going to be hard but I'll definitely try my hardest. I WON'T EVER GIVE UP--no way! Regardless of the number of cheat days I report back here, my mind is set. I'm losing all 40 lbs and get back to being skinny again.
I promised myself that if I ever find anything good and I mean REALLY GOOD, one that for a start will help me lose weight, I'll hold on to it real tight even if that means doing things that might seem impossible to some. If you still can't figure what on earth I am talking about, READ my lips. Low Carb, High Fat. I'm doing it. Since February. It's the one and only answer to my problem. You might want to look it up yourself. Start here ==>> http://www.dietdoctor.com/lchf
Are you on the same diet? Share your experience with me.
Like all Filipinos, I eat rice everyday, every meal time but now that I am on the LCHF diet, I'm having to go without any and NO, it's not just for February or for March but for the whole duration of my diet. That is if I want to get rid of my extra weight and get back down to 100 lbs.
I never thought that I would be taking this seriously but SERIOUSLY? If you could just see how I've shrunked in so short a time, you'd be wanting to join me as I cut down my carbs.
I made a lot of adjustments since February 8th when I first started. I've stopped buying bread. I've stopped making dessert and have replaced all sweets with fruit slices. As for whether I still serve rice during meal times, you have to understand, my husband and my 2-year old are not on LCHF. I still cook rice everyday and I still find myself giving in whenever I see rice in front of me but thank God, I don't take it by the cup anymore. Would you believe I'm happy with just one tablespoon? Wohooo, what an accomplishment!
I love anything that is not only quick and easy to prepare but also tasty and guaranteed to keep your tummy from rumbling. This one I'm sharing with you is nothing too complicated, promise, you will love it!
Just go and grab a can of hot and spicy Century Tuna flakes and a can of button mushrooms. One or two tomatoes, the ripe ones and some quick melt cheese or any cheese you have available, it does not matter.
(Picture added: March 23, 2014)
Preparation:
Slice the mushrooms in halves or in three parts and set aside.
Mince 2-3 cloves of garlic and set aside.
Cooking instructions:
Open the can of tuna (there should be lots of oil there), dump the oil in the heated skillet.
Add both garlic and mushroom at the same time.
Sprinkle with pepper.
Do NOT add salt, no other seasonings needed either (If you prefer it salty as the dead sea then go on, add a heap of salt, go crazy!)
Add the tuna flakes and cover.
Remove from heat after 5-8 minutes. If you want the mushrooms all nice and brown then increase cooking time to 10 minutes. Remove from heat and serve with ripe tomato slices and diced cheese.
This is a quick update on my weight loss progress. If this is not what you came to my blog for then it's okay, you can skip this one or you can visit my other blog if you prefer reading about my work as an oDesk freelancer. If you did come here on your own and love reading about weight loss or anything health-related then stick around.
This was taken last February before I started the LCHF diet.
Do you remember last month when I wrote about my new diet? It's called LCHF which stands for Low Carb, High Fat. Read more about the diet here: DietDoctor.com I forgot to write down my weight from last month so I have nothing to compare to my current weight. I cannot prove that LCHF is working for me just yet until I show you the weighing scale and maybe a couple of before and after photos but just so you know, I have successfully reduced my carb intake and have totally increased my fat consumption.
What have I been eating the whole month of February? Here's a list.
Fried eggs, scrambled eggs, fried chicken, spicy chicken, chicken adobo, chicken and sayote, chicken tinola, roasted chicken, chicken pochero, mushroom, hot and spicy tuna, beef and tons of veggies. I would like to expand the list and try new recipes but since it is not grocery day yet, it will have to wait until Friday.
For exercise, I have been going out for quick afternoon jogs. I have also been doing some bellydancing and yoga. I cannot say how much fat I've gotten rid of yet. I don't see any visible changes in my waistline. BUT I am really, really looking forward to results. I hope to get slimmer in the middle up and one day, be able to get rid of my old jeans. Maybe get a new one. When that happens, I'll only have one thing to thank for and that's LCHF.
Michelle Phan is one of the many YouTube celebrities I look up to. She is Asian and she has magic hands. She can transform herself from fresh and innocent into a look that is totally different. All these with the help of makeup!
As much as I'd like to apply what I have learned from watching her makeup video tutorials, I prefer going without makeup if I can get away with it. BUT because I work nights and often find myself lacking sleep, looking fresh and glowing is not an easy feat. I don't need to put makeup on when I don't have anywhere to go to but when I do have to go somewhere, I make sure I apply makeup as light and subtle as possible, almost like I don't have any on. Is that possible? Sure, with just a few dabs of lip balm on your lips and a good, light moisturizer on your face, it is possible. For the teens and the 20-some ladies that is.
Fresh look, no makeup!
I'm 31 but I have been told that I'd pass for someone in their mid-twenties when fresh out of the shower and with 8+ hours of sleep. At other times, I look deader than a fish out of the water. Chapped lips, droopy eyes, dark circles, dry skin, dull all over. You get the picture.
If I want to stay young and look young, I should take better care of myself! My beauty routine should include applying moisturizer on my face and drinking lots of water. Two things that I keep forgetting to do. Another thing I should include in my beauty regimen is exercise. Any form of exercise!
Did I tell you that I've started doing Yoga? I subscribed to DoYouYoga.com and everyday I get a free Yoga video in my email. It wasn't easy the first time but as I continue to apply what I learn from Erin, the video yogi, I find myself improving.
Hope all this hard work will get me some results soon. I'll definitely be back here to give you updates!
Cairo is already 2 years and 5 months old. His front teeth does not look too good right now and I feel so guilty for not having trained him to brush his teeth more often. There is no excuse there. We used to just wipe his teeth with a soft cloth and it worked just fine that time when he was exclusively breastfed but when he started eating solids, food particles would stick in between his teeth.
We tried all that we can to get him to like brushing. We brushed our teeth in front of him, showed him videos of other kids brushing their teeth, we sang him songs, praised him and gave him BIG smiles whenever he lets us brush his teeth. These are all tips and techniques I read somewhere online. We tried them all. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't.
There were also times we let Cairo hold the toothbrush so he can brush his teeth all on his own. He is a good kid and I am sure he wants to make us smile. He would stick the toothbrush in his mouth and follow what we are doing. This, unfortunately, does not always last.
We also purchased an electric toothbrush in the hope that it would make cleaning his teeth easier. We only have to position the rotating head on any tooth and we'd be able to get rid of any food bits stuck there. It worked for a while until he started grabbing the brush whenever we stick it in his mouth. What's worst, he now runs away from us and sometimes would hide when he sees us holding the toothbrush.
Just this morning, we let him hold the electric toothbrush on his own and surprisingly, we got him to brush his teeth without any fuss. BUT he cried when we 'borrowed' the toothbrush back. THAT is a good sign still. Little by little, he is starting to understand that brushing his teeth is an everyday thing.
One other technique we tried is the knee-to-knee method like the one demonstrated in the video below:
Sad to say, Cairo does not like being held like this. It makes him cry and I thought it might be traumatic for him so we stopped brushing his teeth this way. I am thinking of trying again this week but with songs this time to make it a fun experience. Hopefully, we can get him to calm down and then maybe, we can get some brushing and cleaning done.
I understand there are hundreds of websites and how-to videos on YouTube like the video I showed you. They all have very helpful tips that I can follow but you know, they don't work all the time. My point is, different methods work for different kids. We have to do a bit of trial and error to find one that will work with him. The key here I guess is...patience and repetition. You agree, mommies?
I hate that my going full time at work limits my time with Cairo, up to the point that he is spending more and more time with his father (not that I am complaining). I am happy that they are spending LOTS of quality time together. It's just that I should be there MORE for him. I would like to continue being hands-on as a mother, full time if possible. I want to be there to see him successfully brush his teeth. I want to be there to see him eat without having to be spoonfed. All moms do.
I hope you enjoyed reading my post today. This experience with Cairo is teaching me and my husband how to become better parents. It's tough but I think we are doing alright.
I had the most unfortunate experience the other day while I was out in our front yard.
The tree right where I was standing was wrapped with a thin wire, the other end of which was attached to our bamboo fence and I did not see it. Our two dogs startled me when they started jumping and running towards me. I stepped away and I walked right into the wire. The next minute, I felt a sharp pain just below my forehead. I was surprisingly calm. I knew then that I cut myself but I did not panic. I stopped for a minute or two, took a deep breath, assessed what happened before calling out my husband. He pulled me inside the house the minute he saw my face. He thought I got hurt pretty bad but when he took a closer look, he calmed down. It wasn't a deep cut but there was a bit of skin that almost peeled off. It's a good thing I recently purchased a small Neosporin bottle. My husband cleaned the cut with the Neosporin and then with Betadine.
The cut is right at the bridge of my nose and it is healing nicely. I'm thinking of going to the drugstore tomorrow to buy Contractubex. I remember the name of the scar gel because it was Maricar Reyes who was promoting it on TV.
I also read a bit about the product from two different blogs. Jen of Kikay Corner used Contractubex on a big angry gash that she got on her shin when she tripped and hurt herself. She posted before and after pictures of her scar which pretty much convinced me that Contractubex does work! Rochelle of HeaRty's Haven also wrote a review and posted a picture of her scar after 8 months of use. The scar did lighten but it is still there so I guess the effectiveness of the product pretty much depend on how deep the cut is and how much damage the skin and tissue has to repair. I sure hope the said scar gel will work on mine!
It's no surprise I kept getting yeast infection. I've continued breastfeeding even now that my son is 2 years and 6 months old. I read in one forum that breastfeeding can lower a nursing mom's estrogen level and this can result to vaginal dryness or worst yet, recurring yeast infection and itching. I hope I don't offend anyone by writing about this on my blog. This is my blog after all and it covers a lot of health topics so bear with me, ladies. I need to get this out of my chest. Besides, it's not like I plan on telling you about the hell I went through before I got rid of what's causing my discomforts.
What I will be sharing with you actually is HOW I got rid of my yeast infection really fast.
Like how fast? Would you believe two or three days tops?! My secret? *drum roll please!* I drank a lot of COCONUT water. Half a liter every other hour. Yep, go crazy!
Why coconut water? Because coconut water helps restore your body's PH level, that's why! Your body including that of your honey pot, if you get what I mean.
So there you go. I hope you learned something new from me today. I know, I know, it's nothing new. I bet you already knew about the magic coconut water can do.
This was taken 9th of February at EcoPark La-Salle.
It's been a month since I started LCHF. It took me a while to adjust to my diet since rice has always been a part of my daily grub and bread is always easy to get hold of. I also love, love, love cake. I cannot believe that I've finally decided to give up all these food. It's not just carbs I have to stay away from. I also need to stop eating anything with sugar. Is that even possible?
15 years ago, I weigh only 90 lbs. At 5 feet tall, weighing 90 lbs means I was below my ideal weight! Now I'm the exact opposite. I think the last time I weighed myself, I was at 140 lbs and that ladies, is equivalent to FAT.
I hope that when I do weigh myself next time, I have some good news to write about.
But there is no way to do that without some effort.
I tried a few diets. I limited my food intake. I even counted calories as that worked for some. I stayed away from food I love. And eat more of the yucky stuff. I so hate that.
The I tried a few exercise routines. I willed for it to develop and become a habit. It did. For a while. I guess I just don't have the discipline. I don't have time. And I keep having to make excuses about why I still cannot get myself to do any crunches and sit-ups. I so suck at my goal.
So how about this LCHF stuff? It sure sounds like something I can do.
Do you want to eat real food (as much as you like) and improve your health and weight? It may sound too good to be true, but LCHF (Low Carb, High Fat) is a method that has been used for 150 years. Now, modern science backs it up with proof that it works.
There is no weighing your food, no counting, no bizarre “meal replacements,” no pills. There is just real food and common sense.
ONE. Eat REAL food. TWO. As much as you like. These are the two things I can do without blinking an eye. I can't wait to try it out.
I have heard so many good things about the benefits of baby-led weaning. It's too bad I haven't tried it with my son when he first started eating solids. If I had known, I'd have made sure he has fruits, veggies and meat everyday as part of his diet and not processed food like Cerelac. I hate missing out on a good opportunity to teach my child how to be more independent during meal times and to be more interested in the food he eats. That's what BLW is supposed to teach babies from 6 months onward.
A lot of mommies swear BLW is the solution to teaching babies NOT to be picky eaters. BLW babies chew their food well and don't need to be spoonfed. Amazing. I would really like that for my little one. Cairo already turned 2 and has been spoon-fed since the day he started eating. I hope it's not too late and he'd let me try the BLW method of weaning with him.
Wait, where did you first hear about BLW?
Well, there's Mommy Talk and Baby Led Weaning Philippines, both groups are on Facebook and they are really friendly and helpful. Mommy Talk has over 4,000 members and BLW Philippines, over 3,000. That's like wow! I joined both groups in the hope that I'd meet new friends and at the same time educate myself as a first-time mom. What is BLW really?
BLW teaches babies to like natural food. You let them hold, lick, mash and literally play with their food until they get the idea that food is good for the tummy! You can start with a few slices of avocados. Bananas and mangoes are also good. I've seen babies eating grapes and I've seen them licking and nibbling on apple slices. Meat, too, is encouraged.
What if the baby chokes?
I have been wondering about the same thing when I first heard of BLW. I've been mashing and grinding my baby's food since day 1 and have only started trusting him with food when he turned two. I've never left him on his own during meal times. Why? Because I've seen him gobble bananas. I'd rather be around when he is eating just to make sure he's chewing his food well and not just gulping them down.
BLW, I was told, is supposed to teach babies to chew and not just bite and swallow. If you get him started as early as 6 months (some babies already have one or two teeth at this age, some would be teething), he'd most likely just play with his food during the first few days BUT then he'll see mommy and daddy eating and will try to follow what they do. That's the idea. They'll want to be eating when they see you eating, too.
Any website you can recommend with lots of good BLW stuff?
BabyCentre has a section entirely on baby-led weaning with tips on how to get started and how to feed your baby properly. Let me know what you think of BLW ok? Leave a comment! ;-)
I totally think this global warming thing is no joke. What with all the changes in the weather ALL around the world. Heavy rains hit the Middle East, Australia's been experiencing one of their hottest ever and now Philippines is getting a taste of winter. I know January to be one of the cooler months but nothing like the last few weeks. I really don't think I remember it being this cold. I could actually see people wearing winter outfits here in Bacolod. The only thing lacking is some snow. Seriously, who knows? It might just happen. It snowed in Egypt for the first time in 100 years. I imagined the place to be very warm, where camels, palm trees and fine, almost gold-like sand are just about everywhere and yet, it snowed. I wonder how they dealt with the sudden change in weather. If any of their stores sell winter clothing, I imagine people lining up, buying and stripping the shelves bare.
Here's a photo taken by @AMaheer which he posted on his twitter account.
